The clients for this project were two brothers ages 3 and 5, who wanted a modern room that would take them from toddlerhood through their teen years. These two truck - and train - obsessed kids had no problem when it came to choosing their minimal, grey and white cars wallpaper first; the rest of the room sprang from that decision. We went with a Scandinavian look, with a Swedish-cross rug and throw, light wood furniture, as well as grey and white custom bunk beds and dressers. Brightening up the monochromatic background and drawing from the river views, we incorporated marine blue accents in an oversized bean bag chair, pillows and sheets. The boys most loved their skateboard art that mirrors the city skyline they see out their windows.
